MIUI Unique Features that makes MI users PROUD.


             MIUI is the mostly optimized custom ROM which has many number of features which are inbuild in the ROM itself.
             There are many common features which can be achieved on any other devices other than MIUI by tweaking or installing some other application from play store or other sites.
In this post I will mainly focus on the unique features of the MIUI ROM which cannot be easily tweaked or obtained by installing other applications.


Feature 1

Adjusting the brightness


               When you are out and take your phone out from pocket then mostly everyone will face a problem that is adjusting the brightness
                You need to drag the notification panel down and adjust the brightness which is a bit difficult
But there is a alternate trick for this method.

The trick to maximize the brightness level

  1. Click on the lock button.
  2. Then click on the Menu key and Volume up key combination.
  3. Then the brightness level is turned to maximum.

Feature 2

Piano Dial tone


                   In all the smartphones when to type the numbers then you can hear the different tones for the each number key
                   You can change the dial tone sound from that boaring tone to the PIANO keys
This gives to a better feel to heat the piano sounds as you type the numbers to dial a phonenumber


For this features you can follow the steps below

  1. Open the Dial Pad.Then click on Menu
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Then select the additional settings.
  4. Then select dial pad touch tones.
  5. Then select the PIANO KEYS.

The sound of the keys will be changed to the piano key sounds

Feature 3

Birthday alarm


                 If you don’t have friends to wish you on your birthday then the miui clock does that for you.
It Plays the happy birthday tone on your birthday which is registered on the mi device
To activate this feature you can follow the steps below


  1. click on the clock which is on the lockscreen 
  2. click on the three dots on the top right corner
  3. then select the last option 'Birth Day alarm'



Feature 4

Adjusting the icons on the home screen


                  On most of the smart phones the home screen is mostly adaptable and customizable, but there are some more additional features for customization of home screen

You can move more than one app at a time from one dock (home screen page) to another dock.

First Pinch in with two fingers then

SWIPE LEFT OR RIGHT TO CHANGE THE PAGE POSITION

SWIPE DOWN AND SELECT THE PAGE DIRECTLY



Feature 5

Spilt screen


This is now available in miui9 and also for the devices above android 7.1.1.

Steps for the SplitScreen in MIUI


  1. Click on the RECENT button
  2. Then click on the Split Screen mode which is on the top left

CLICK ON THE SPLITSCREENMODE


    3. Then select any app and drag to top



   4. Then select another app that will be set to the bottom

But the MIUI gives some extra customization like
Adjusting the split screen height between two application

there will be a dot in between the two split applications
click on that and drag to change the height.

Feature 6

Edit in Gallery


The inbuilt gallery allows you to remove the unwanted parts or objects from image.


  1. Open the image which you want to edit
  2. Click on EDIT
  3. Select the ERASE option
  4. Now select the region and click done
  5. The region which you selected will be gone without leaving any residue




Feature 7

One handed mode


The unique feature that is difficult to replicate in other mobile phones. Just swipe from

menu key – home key – recent key


To use one handed mode for Right hand
then swipe from home key- recent key

To use one handed mode for Leftt hand
then swipe from home key- back key

you can also select the inches of the screen 



Feature 8

Check the working of all modules


  1. Open settings
  2. Then select about phone
  3. Then click on the kernel version for seven times continuously
  4. Then all the system modules are displayed there


  1. Go through the testing process of each module.





Feature 9

Pocket Mode


Other unique feature that allows you to lock your phone when it is in the pocket.
Actually it uses the Proximity Sensor and then locks the phone if any object is near to the sensor




Feature 10

Buttons Triggers


You have only three keys on the front and they can be remapped or for other purposes

suppose if you select the back key
then it will ask which trigger function to select
select the close currretn app



then after it is done
click and hold the bak key the application will close by itself

you can use other keys also for differnt tasks


Feature 11

Second space


This feature allows you to create another account such as guest account which will be new and have only pre installed applications.




You can create another new password and install all new apps with login in to another accounts


Feature 12

Call Recording


the MIUI is the only ROM which is providing the call recording by default ,
to activate this 

  1. open Dialer pad
  2. click in menu
  3. then select settings at bottom
  4. select the CALL RECORDING option


you can select which numbers to record 
if all numbers then select all numbers
if not select the required numbers.

        It may be the usual feature in all phones but the MIUI gives many features in capturing the screenshot.
